Project Description: The momentum behind the major remodel of Herman Miller’s National Showroom in Los Angeles was conceptualized and constructed to make a 21st Century design statement to showcase Herman Miller's collection of office furniture in the highest sustainable rating possible. Phase I involved completely remodeling the entrance into the design center, with the major focus being a 13-foot high, custom-built, shingled glass wall with a "state of the art" computer controlled LED back lighting system. Phase II consisted of a hospitality bar complete with a kitchen, floating granite counter tops, barrisol luminous ceiling, high-tech appliances and innovative structural diagonal beams.
