KNOWLEDGE IS KEY.
TCW Group, Los Angeles
GC: Taslimi Architect: Gensler
The Sharpe Team:
Project Manager: Mark Pomeroy
Superintendents: Larry Shufelt and Sammy Arellano
Project Foremen: Alex Porcayo and Orlando Pena
Asset management firm TCW Group inks the largest pandemic-era office lease in DTLA, downsizing its headquarters as more employees work from home. The company decided to relocate its headquarters to a smaller space as companies across the U.S. reassess their real estate needs after the coronavirus pandemic upended how and where people work. TCW will occupy 140,000 square feet at one of the two City National Plaza towers at 515 South Flower. That’s about 40,000 square feet, or 22 percent smaller than its current digs and namesake home at 865 South Figueroa (TCW Tower). The project includes a buildout spanning across five floors on levels 27 through 31. Sharpe is also completing minimal work on the 1st floor and the basement level. The new headquarters will include private offices, open area workstations, conference rooms and boardrooms. The Sharpe team is nearing the end of our scope of work and getting ready to turn over an amazing project to the Taslimi team to cap it off with beautiful, high-end finishes. TCW is a leading global asset management firm with five decades of investment experience. Last year, it was named one of the best places to work in money management by Pensions & Investments magazine.
