Build-A-Bike Team Building Event

Recently, many of our Field Foremen came together in the Sharpe Warehouse for a unique and meaningful team building experience: Build-A-Bike. This high-energy event combined collaboration, problem-solving, and a shared purpose, creating an atmosphere that was both engaging and rewarding from start to finish.

Build-A-Bike is designed to strengthen teamwork through hands-on participation, challenging teams to work together to assemble bicycles. To make the experience even more impactful, portions of the activity are completed while team members are blindfolded, encouraging clear communication, trust, and coordination as they rely on one another to succeed. But what truly sets this event apart is the purpose behind it. This isn’t just about building bikes, it’s about building connections, strengthening communication, and reinforcing the values that make our team successful both on and off the job.

The most memorable moment of the day came when some of the children who would receive the bikes joined us. Seeing their excitement and gratitude brought everything full circle. It was a powerful reminder that our efforts as a team can make a real difference in the lives of others.

For our team, the event reinforced the importance of collaboration, trust, and shared goals in a fun and meaningful way. For the families, it provided not just a new bike, but a lasting memory and a moment of pure joy. Events like this reflect who we are at Sharpe—committed not only to working together, but to giving back and strengthening the communities we serve.
