KNOWLEDGE IS KEY.
At Sharpe Interior Systems, Inc., it is our belief that growth and opportunity are created through involvement and participation. We also believe there is power in creating balance through diversity. This is why we choose to support WiOPS, Women in Construction Operations.
WiOPS is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013. We have seen the organization grow from a small group of highly-motivated women who recognize there is a need to support women in construction, to a movement of hundreds of members. The organization is made up of building industry professionals representing a broad spectrum of trades. WiOPS currently has two chapters, one in Southern California and one in Northern California and there are plans to expand into other states.
WiOPS Mission: To provide a platform that empowers and advances women in construction through mentorship, education and networking.
On March 29th, Sharpe Interior Systems, Inc. hosted one of WiOPS’s monthly educational events which we titled “Educational & Fine Dining Experience: Increase your Business Etiquette IQ”. The event took place at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach. We invited Lisa Gache, founder and CEO of Beverly Hills Manners who is a nationally recognized etiquette expert to lead the evenings festivities. Lisa engaged the group with an interactive approach that was fast-paced, fun, and full of tips and techniques, all while enjoying a three-course, world-class culinary experience.
Proper etiquette is a vital set of skills required to succeed in business. Displaying good business etiquette behavior means clients are more likely to respect you and want to do business with you. Social events and dining situations are where many relationships are developed, and bridges of trust and understanding are constructed. The curriculum for this event was created to help attendees acquire the skills they need to quickly adapt, integrate and succeed in a variety of business interactions.
